Every move is a decision. Every square is a risk.

2–4 players · Ages 7+ · 45–90 minutes

In The Hunt, each player leads three pieces: a Lion, a Sheep and a Leaf. The goal is simple: be the first to get all three into the Final Square at the centre of the board. Getting there is the hard part.

The food chain is always in play. A Lion eats a Sheep, a Sheep eats a Leaf, and the Lion and Leaf leave each other alone. Every time you land on a square shared with a rival, someone may be sent to the Spirit Circle. That makes each roll a choice: do you go after an opponent’s piece, or keep your own pieces safe?

The board has its own dangers too. The Pond sends Sheep back to the nearest Angel Square, and the Shed does the same to Lions. If you take the inner ring there are no safe squares at all. Your colour’s “?” square can save you, because landing on it lets you revive a lost piece, bring a new piece onto the board, or roll again.

When one of your pieces eliminates a rival’s piece on your turn, you draw a Power Card. There are 11 different cards:

  • Attack: Ambush, Forced March, Flash Flood and Wildfire
  • Shield: Decoy and Camouflage
  • Wild: Double Roll, Skip Trap and Steal
  • Revive: Second Chance and Reincarnate

Used at the right moment, one card can change the whole game.

It’s easy to learn and plays differently every time, so it works for family game nights and for competitive players.
